Obituary: Hosea L. Madison, Jackson Funeral Home, Newport, AR
Mr. Hosea Lee Madison, 90, of Newport died Monday, August 23, 2010. He was born November 22, 1919 at Alicia, Arkansas, the son of Edward Franklin and Lorena Mae (Crisp) Madison.
Mr. Madison was retired from Dr. Pepper Company, and a member of the Assembly of God. He loved music, and enjoyed singing and playing guitar.
Mr. Madison was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Wilma Jean Madison; two sisters, Claudia Webb and Bertia Hembrey; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Lavern (Pinkston) Madison; seven sons, Noel Madison of Augusta, Larry Madison of Monroe, Louisiana, Geary Madison of Las Vegas, Nevada, Danny Madison of Marion, Arkansas, Charles Madison of El Dorado, Arkansas, James Madison of Mt. Home, Arkansas, and Billy Madison of Newport; four daughters, Brenda Pace of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Barbara Scott of Mansfield, Missouri, Nina Bradshaw of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Diane Lumpkin of West Memphis; twenty-two grandchildren; and forty-four great-grandchildren.
