ROGERS — Stella Mae Barnwell Rice, 95, of Rogers died Sept. 9, 1999, at Kellmark Nursing home in Rogers. She was born Nov. 14, 1903, in Brightwater to William Rowland and Bessie Ann Deans Barnwell.
She was a resident of the area and a homemaker. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed tatting. She was a member of Brightwater United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Extension Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Radus Rice, in 1972.
Survivors include four nieces, Ruth Harpool and Wanda Belle Bennett, both of Rogers, Roxanne Darnell of Little Rock and Thelma Bainter of Overland Park, Kan.; one great-niece, Barbara Spickes King of Fayetteville; one great-nephew, Carl Bennett of Colcord, Okla.
Services will to at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge with the Rev. Harold Wagner officiating.
Burial will be in Buttram Chapel Cemetery.
