Roy G. Miller, 86, of Bentonville died Monday, July 2, 2007, at Highlands Healthcare in Bella Vista.

He was born Sept. 25, 1920, in Hennessey, Okla., to Robert Glen Miller and Audra McCaleb Miller. He spent most of his life in Woodward, Okla., before moving to Bentonville in 1994 to make his home. He was employed by Safeway and Foodland for 16 years as an assistant manager and food clerk. He retired from the city of Woodward maintenance department. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific as a staff sergeant with the Marine Corps. He loved baseball, football and was an avid bowler. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bentonville. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella Demaree Miller of the home; one son, Johnnie Miller and wife Beverly of Berryville; one daughter, Cindy Townsley and husband Mark of Bentonville; one sister, Margaret Roberts of Booker, Texas; one nephew, George Roberts of Odessa, Texas; one grandson, Todd Clow; one great-grandson, Tanner Clow.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am. Saturday, July 7 at Buttrams Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge with Malcolm Scott officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Avoca VFW Post 3031.

Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge, online at siscofuneralhome.net.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

BELLA VISTA — Marcella Louise Miller, 79, died Friday, May 16, 2008, at Highlands Healthcare in Bella Vista. She was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Woodward, Okla., to Floyd David Demaree and Mary Roxanna Jones Demaree.

She spent most of her life in Woodward, where she was a housekeeper for 16 years at Woodward Hospital. In 1994, she moved to Bentonville to make her home. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville and was involved with many church activities. She loved to cook, help others, and devoted her life to her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy G. Miller, in 2007; and one brother, Jim Lewis Demaree.

Survivors are one son, Johnnie Miller and wife Beverley of Berryville; one daughter, Cindy Townsley and husband Mark of Bentonville; one brother, John Demaree of Pea Ridge; one grandson, Todd Clow; two step-grandchildren, Josh Nelson and Jessica Nelson; and one great-grandson, Tanner Clow.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge, siscofuneralhome.net.

Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Buttrams Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge with Malcolm Scott officiating. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.
