Jerre Biggs, 77, of Springdale died May 4, 2005, at her home. She was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Murray, Ky., to William and Donna Hendon Baucum.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springdale, where she taught Sunday school for 25 years and was a choir member. She volunteered for the Springdale Hospital Auxiliary and ushered for the Ladyback basketball games. She worked as a receptionist for several years at the Springdale Clinic and was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Kay Biggs, one son, M. Hays Biggs Jr., and one granddaughter, Brandi Leigh Biggs. She is survived by one son, Scott Biggs and wife Marilyn of Springda1e; three daughters, Cathy Hodges and husband Charlie of Nokomis, Fla., Jerre Lynn Irwin and husband Terry of Orlando, Fla, and Dee Gee Farrell and husband Robert of Springdale; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Cliff Palmer and the Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Sisco Chapel. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Terry Irwin, Charlie Hodges, Robert Farrell, Brad Biggs, Jared Biggs, Josh Farrell, Chip Hodges, Will Irwin and Wade Cochran. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade and Allison Cothran and staff of Homestyle Assisted Living and Margie Davidson Arredondo and helyers.
Memorials may be made to Homestyle Assisted Living, 2175 Orchard St., Springdale, 72764. Attn: The new Alxheimer'S Wing.
