SPRINGDALE — Harry Fred Lane, 87, of Springdale died Dec. 2, 2007, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born July 24, 1920, in Oklahoma City to Charlie and Lennie Ellen Scoggins Lane.

He worked with Farmers Produce, Jones Truck Lines, Ted Saums and Eagle Body. In the 1960s, he owned and operated Springdale Cab Co. He was a longtime member of Gospel Tabernacle in Bethel Heights.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carolyn Jane.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Leona Lane of Springdale; three daughters, Levita Harner and Sharleen Thomas both of Springdale, Deonn Courtney and husband Gerald of Fayetteville; four sons, Richard Lane and wife Carol, Danny Lane and wife Betty, Ira Lane and Lonnie Lane, all of Springdale; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Gospel Tabernacle in Bethel Heights with Bobby Main and Nathan Painter officiating. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today with the family present at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale, online at www.heritageofnwa.com.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Lane, Kenny Lane, Kevin Lane, Jared Lane, Ryan Lane, Reid Lane, Travis Lane, Eric Tedford, Matthew Courtney, Brent Courtney and Justin Bull.

Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, 72762.
