Ray E. Kloss, 88, died Monday at his home. He was born in Beebe on August 13, 1923, to Grover and Blanche Pittman Kloss. He married Leona Dorflinger, who survives him. He served in the US Army during WWII as a Staff Sgt., where he earned the American Theater Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with two bronze stars, WWII Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal with two overseas bars. He also served one year in the Navy. After the Military, he was a painter/contractor. He was a member of Cotton Plant First Baptist Church. He loved shooting guns, was always happy, and was very family-oriented. He enjoyed fishing, building things, and mowing the yard. He liked doing mechanic work, and loved playing with the children grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved his wife and family with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tommy Kloss; a grandson, Kevin Kloss; a brother, W.G. Kloss, and a sister, Lorene Williams. He is survived by his wife, Leona Kloss of Beebe; three sons, John Kloss (Christi), David Kloss (Cindy), and Scott Kloss (Leah), all of Beebe; a daughter, Carol Goff (Leroy), Beebe; daughter-in-law, Jo Ella Kloss, Beebe; eight grandchildren, Kristen Ulsperger (Jason), Brad Kloss (Rebecca), Gracie Kloss, Cayne Orman, Lucas Orman, Micah Orman (Lauren), Jesse Kloss, and Maggie Dent (Matt), and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at Cotton PlantCemetery, Cotton Plant, Ark., with Bro. Billy Duncan officiating. Arrangements by Fowler Funeral Home of Brinkley.
