BELLA VISTA — Evelyn M. (Radcliffe) Wrede, 95, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at Bradford House in Bentonville, Ark. She was born on Sept. 5, 1915, in Larchmont, N.Y., to John H. Radcliffe and Edith Brown Radcliffe.
She married Herman "Bud" L. Wrede on June 30, 1940, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Mamaroneck, N.Y. She moved to Bella Vista from Oakland, N.J. She was a member of St. Theodore's Episcopal Church in Bella Vista, Ark. She was a founding member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Oakland, N.J., where she was a Sunday school teacher, and altar guild directness for 24 years.
She is survived by her husband, Herman H. "Bud" Wrede of Bella Vista, Ark.; one son, Robert H. Wrede and wife, Rose of Overland Park, Kan.; one brother, Lt. Col. Clifford Radcliffe of Fayetteville, Ga.; sister, Lucille Hunt of Summerville, S.C.; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Wrede of Merriam, Kan., Victoria Wrede of Overland Park, Kan., Cheyenna Starkovich of Overland Park, Kan.; one great-grandchild, Samantha Moore of Overland Park, Kan.
A memorial service will be at St. Theodore's Episcopal Church, Bella Vista, Ark., at a later date. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Theodore's Episcopal Church, 1001 Kingsland Road, Bella Vista, AR 72714 or to the Arkansas Sheriff's Youth Ranch, Box 3964, Batesville, AR 72503.
