SHREVEPORT, La. — Jimmie June Loyd, 84, went home to heaven on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at Sisco Chapel in Springdale.

Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. in Friendship Cemetery with Dr. Larry Williams officiating.

Jimmie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Springdale, where she faithfully served in many volunteer capacities through the years. She was a woman of tremendous, unshakable faith, faithful throughout her life in prayer, caregiving, missions, selfless service and absolute devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her's was a forgiving heart, Christ-like mind and servant's passion to spread the gospel. She was a volunteer missionary whose influence for Christ spread worldwide.

Her words were soft and kind. Her family is recipient of a grand legacy of faith, hope and love.

Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents, Relford and Lucile Weiser and daughter, Shirley Loyd Roark.

She is survived by her daughters, Jean Anne Williams and husband Dr. Larry Williams of Shreveport, La., and Lana Sue Loyd of Springdale; granddaughters, Amy Lu Epp and husband Mark, Anne Lajune Williams; two great-grandsons, Nate and John Mark Epp, all of Shreveport.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mexican Indian Training Center, Shreveport or to Mission Northwest Arkansas, c/o First Baptist Church of Springdale.
