MOUNTAIN VIEW – Sylvia Gertrude Houdek Novak, 92, of Mountain View died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, at Mountain View.
Born Dec. 9, 1908, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Albert Houdek and Thersa Krska. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Mountain View.
She is survived by a nephew, Joseph Novak of Spring Hill, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Joseph Novak, and her parents.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Roller Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain View with the Rev. Mark Pointer officiating. Burial will be in Flatwoods Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Pitts, Jay Jones, Tom Isbell, Herbert Poff, Fred Ward and Ronnie Risner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Wyatt and Joel Breeding.
