Mrs. Effie C. Massey, 69, East Huntsvile Ave., Springdale, died Sept. 6 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 20, 1904, in Hughes Springs, Tex., she was the daughter of John Henry and Mary Fanny Reams Smith, a member of Berry St. Baptist Church and moved to this area from Marshal in 1953.
Survivors include her husband, L. W. Massey of the home; five sons, Troy Massey, Brandenburg, Ky., Wyett Massey of the home, Donald Massey,
Dittmer, Mo., Charles Massey, Little Rock, and Wendel Massey, Decatur, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Sue) Thompson, Harrison, Mrs. Joe (Dorothy) Sims, Springdale, and Mrs. Carl (Shirley) Brown, Findlay, Ill.; one brother, W. L. Smith, Hughes Springs, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Hester Cole, Monroe, La.; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.
