Bernice Ethel Drown Wright, 95
Bernice Ethel Drown Wright of Mtn. Home formerly of Calico Rock, Arkansas.
Bernice Ethel Drown Wright, daughter of the late Stephen Robert Drown and Maud Copeland Drown, was born June 15, 1916 at Crossroads, Arkansas. She departed this life February 26, 2012 in Mtn. Home, Arkansas at the age of 95 years, 8 months 11 days. In 1941 she was united in marriage to Ralph Wright. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, Bernice owned and operated the Wright Shop in Calico Rock. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Calico Rock Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Guiding Star Chapter #588.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law: Connie Wright of Salesville and Marjorie and Jerry Jones of Mtn. Home; one son and daughter-in-law: William and Nanette Wright of Seattle, Washington; five grandchildren: David Mayfield, Timothy Mayfield, Emily Griffin, Dustin Jones, Cory Wright; five great grandchildren: Nicholas Mayfield, Jacob Mayfield, Betsy Mayfield, Mindy Mayfield, Brayden Griffin; one great great granddaughter: Presley Mayfield and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two infant children; two brothers: James Drown, Harold Lewis Drown; two sisters: Olive Drown and Vivian Cheaver.
Funeral service will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will be at Crossroads Cemetery in Pineville, Arkansas under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, March 2 from 6-8 p.m.
