Lee A. Arnold, 82, of Norfork, a retired farmer, died Sunday at the Baxter General Hospital. A lifetime resident of the area, he was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Arnold was born in Baxter County on Dec. 3, 1888, the son of Jim Arnold and Millie Moody Arnold. He was married to Maggie Woods 64 years ago, and they were the parents of five children.
Services were conducted Monday at the Galatia Methodist Church near Norfork, and interment was in the Galatia Cemetery under the direction of the McClure-Smith Service. Officiating ministers were Rev. Charles E. Davis and Rev. Oris Vincent. Pallbearers were Mr. Arnold's grandsons, Jimmy Gales, W.B. Henson, Dorsey Carnes, J.R. Arnold. J.R. Ross, Raymond Carnes and A.S. Helms.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Arnold of Norfork; three sons, John of Macks, Vern of Newport and Floyd of Lonoke; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Ball of Macks and Mrs. Ada Carnes of Lonoke; a brother Walter Arnold of Norfork; 29 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren.
