Mrs. Hettie Smith Clary, 77, of Star City, died yesterday at the University of Arkansas Medical Center here, where she had been a patient since November.
She was the widow of Buford Clary.
A native of Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late George Washington and Ella Oglee Smith.
She attended Star City schools Mrs. Clary was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Hulan Clary of Star City, a daughter, Mrs. William Dane of Jena, Louisiana; three brothers, Ben F. Smith of White Hall; Dave Smith of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Taylor Smith of Star City; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church by Reverend James Etheridge. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Mortuary.
The body will be at the family residence at Star City until funeral time. Pallbearers will be Bud Rice, Earlie Johnson, Jerry Ratterree, J. C. King, Troy Hill, William Russell, Bob Summerford and Curtis Ratterree.
