J. C. Murphy, 71, of Siloam Springs died Friday at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 10, 1906 in Hereford, Tex.
He was a retired real estate dealer and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, He was a charter member of the Siloam Springs Riding Club and a member of the Mounted Patrol.
Survivors include his wife, Christina Murphy of the home; a son, C. L. "Bub" Gunter of Siloam Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Ziegler of Tulsa; two brothers, Julian Murphy of Kilgore, Tex. and Billy Murphy of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. Fanny Lynnx of Siloam Springs and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday in the Pyeatte Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jim Keith officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
