Richard "Dick" Lancaster, 89, of Mtn. View entered into rest of August 17, 2010 at Mtn. View.
Richard was born August 7, 1921 in Mountain View to Charles Knox Lancaster, Sr. and Lillie Mae (Whitfield) Lancaster. He was a founding member of Foothills Baptist Church and a farmer and merchant. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, JoAnn Dobbins Lancaster; sons, Paul Lancaster and wife Judy of Mtn. View and Bruce Lancaster and wife Linda of Greenland, Ark.; daughter, Brenda Richardson and husband Dwight of Mountain View; seven grandchildren, Elisha Fulks, Tina Sprouse, Robert Lancaster, David Lancaster, Michelle White, Brian Lancaster and Courtney Dold and thirteen great-grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded by his parents, Charles Knox and Lillie Mae (Whitfield) Lancaster; brother, Charles Knox Lancaster, Jr. and sister, Louise Conley.
Visitation is 6 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mountain View, AR
Funeral service is 10 a.m., Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Foothills Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Lancaster and Bro. Bryan Wilkie officiating and interment in Flatwoods Cemetery, Mountain View, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Logan Furgeson, Dustin Long, Russell White, Joe Croney, Vernon Lawrence and Gary DeVun. Honorary pallbearers are Fred Ward, Ulyess Woody and Sherman Curtis.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home, Mtn. View, AR in charge of the arrangements.
