Jo Ann Lancaster,
86, of Mtn. View entered into rest on April 28, 2012 at Mtn. View, AR.
Jo Ann was born June 22, 1925 in Allison, AR to Albert and Lillian (Moffett) Dobbins. She was a founding member of Foothills Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Jo Ann was a gifted woman who held various occupations in her life including homemaker, farmer and merchant. She served as Stone County Circuit Clerk from 1963-1970. She was honored with a career achievement award from Business and Professional Women in 1997. Her greatest comfort and joy was knowing her children and grandchildren know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. If Jo Ann were here today she would tell us all "This to Shall Pass".
She is survived by her sons, Paul Lancaster and wife Judy of Mtn. View, AR and Bruce Lancaster and wife Linda of Greenland, AR; daughter Brenda Richardson and husband Dwight of Mountain View AR; Brothers, Bobby Dobbins and wife MaryLou of North Carolina, Jack Dobbins and wife Charmain of Kentucky, Sister Avanell Moody of Mountain View, AR seven grandchildren, Elisha Fulks, Tina Sprouse, Robert Lancaster, David Lancaster, Michelle White, Brian Lancaster and Courtney Dold and thirteen great-grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lancaster, parents Albert and Lillian (Moffett) Dobbins, sister, Ruby Jean Moody, brother, Ray Dobbins and seven infant brothers and sisters.
Funeral Service is 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Foothills Baptist Church with Bro. Don Strait and Bro. Bryan Wilkie officiating and interment in Flatwoods Cemetery, Mountain View, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Russell White, Brad Fulks, Larry Smith, Bob Sutterfield, Joe Croney and Vernon Lawrence.
