MR JOHN EDWARD McCLINTOCK, resident of Searcy, died Friday, February 1, 2013. He was 85 years of age.

Mr McClintock was born in Vandale, Arkansas on November 21, 1927 to Guy and Birdie Carter McClintock. He attended school in Vandale, served his country in the United States Navy and was married to the former Betty Dill who survives. Together they had two children, John and Vicki. Mr. McCLintock was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Searcy, a maintenance Engineer for Photopress in Broadview, ILL where they once lived, was a great builder and gardener ,loved working in his flowers, feeding his birds, fishing and spending time with his children, grand and great-grandchildren who think there is nothing their Papaw couldn’t do. His children spoke of him as the most intelligent person they had ever known.
Survivors include his faithful wife, Betty of Searcy, one son and his wife, John and Robyn McClintock of Elgin, ILL., one daughter and her husband, Vicki and Tommy Gaines of MCCrory, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William and two sisters, Helen and Norma Jean.
Pallbearers were Joseph Dill, John McKlintock, Brian Frey, Adam Stoner, Alan Gaines, Marvin Headley and Carl Jecske.
