James Wesley Herst, 85, of Mountain View entered into rest on September 7, 2011 in Mountain View.
James was born October 18, 1925 in Calico Rock, Arkansas to Edwald Brown and Beatrice Herst.
He was a member of White Water Missionary Baptist Church and was a volunteer fireman with the Mountain View Volunteer Fire Department. He was retired from the Mountain View Telephone Company.
He is survived by two step-sons and a brother Earl Shanks of Mountain View.
He was preceded in death by his wife Flossie Newcomb Qualls Herst, first wife Cleo Stroud Herst and his grandmother Anna Herst.
Visitation is 5 – 7 p.m., Friday September 9, 2011 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View.
Funeral Service is 10 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View with Bro. Afton Treat officiating and interment in Flatwoods Cemetery, Mountain View
Roller Crouch Funeral Home, Mtn. View is in charge of the arrangements.
