Alvis Duane Fraser was born to Alvus Loren Fraser and Janie Maude Dobbs Fraser on their farm outside McCrory, Arkansas on February 13, 1940.

He went to his eternal home on January 16, 2010 at White County Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Duane is survived by his wife Wanda, his children Melissa and her husband Karl Stoner of Cabot, Monica Fraser of Jonesboro and two grandchildren, Kyle and Clayton. He is also survived by his brothers, Fred and Rudy Fraser and two sisters, Letty Henderson and Tina Fraser and one special aunt, Altha Miller.

Duane was raised by God fearing parents and was a member of Fakes Chapel Methodist Church. His father was a farmer and his mother a homemaker. After graduating from McCrory High School he attended ASU/Jonesboro.

It was in high school that he met Wanda Jane Logan, who was the love of his life. They married June 18, 1961. After a brief month together, Duane was deployed to Okinawa, while serving in the United States Air Force as a C130 Crew Chief Officer. He spent 18 months apart from his new bride and then returned to the States and was stationed in South Carolina with his wife and first daughter, Melissa. During his time in South Carolina he traveled to many countries all over the world.

In 1965, he moved home to join his father in farming and build his family home. His family increased a year later with the addition of another daughter, Monica. At this time he continued to serve in the Air Force Reserves while attending college at night. He also served on the PCA Board of Directors for 12 years. He served Woodruff County as a member of the Quorum Court since 1979 to present.

Duane was a quiet man who was known for his steadfastness, patience and loyalty. He always had a smile and never spoke an unkind word of anyone. He was a faithful and dedicated husband and father. He adored his wife and showed his love in many quiet ways.

He was more than a father to his two daughters, he was their "Daddy." He was always supportive of his children's activities participating in their educational endeavors. He loved his two grandchildren and was always involved in their lives. He looked forward to their visits and felt blessed to have them living in Cabot so close by. They loved his cooking which he did for Sunday and holiday gatherings. He shared a special bond with his son-in-law Karl and his grandsons that included his love for hunting and fishing.

Duane was a man of few words but his life spoke volumes as a life led in service to God as well as his family and friends.
