George Elias Huett, Jr., 86

George Elias Huett, Jr., 86, of Elizabeth, Arkansas, was born on March 5, 1925, in Elizabeth, Arkansas, the son of George Elias and Edna Mae (Shelton) Huett, Sr. He departed this life on July 5, 2011, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

George was united in marriage to Nova Joyce Smith on October 7, 1948, at Mountain Home, Arkansas. He spent his working years as a rural mail carrier and a cattle farmer. George served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and he was a member of the Elizabeth Church of Christ.

He leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Joyce Huett of Elizabeth; son, Phillip Huett (Diane) of Gepp; daughter, Nancy Moody (Steve) of Pocahontas; 3 grandchildren, Llaura Shaddon (Jason) of Russellville, Arkansas, Audra Adams (Jeremy) of Paragould and Alexa Moody of Pocahontas; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Remington Shaddon; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Troy, Horace and Harlin Huett and two sisters, Maxine Crymes and Leodia Guenthner.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Elizabeth Church of Christ in Elizabeth, Arkansas, with Bro. Bill Beebe officiating. Interment will be in the Elizabeth Cemetery at Elizabeth under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 6-8 PM, at the funeral home.

Memorials preferred to the Children's Home at Paragould, Arkansas.
