D.D. Hopkins died at his home in Mason Valley Monday, Nov. 18th and his remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Buttram's Chapel on Pea Ridge, the funeral being conducted by the Masonic fraternity Tuesday the 19th. The deceased was the father of Professor J. G. Hopkins and was an old and highly respected citizen who will be greatly missed from his community. He had been confined to his bed for several months and suffered a great deal. We extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
