MOUNTAIN VIEW - Edna Opal Brown, 79, of Mountain View died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, in Calico Rock.
Born April 5, 1922, at Mountain View, she was the daughter of Monroe and May Shores Burns. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Dean Brown and Buefard Brown, both of Mountain View; two daughters, Betty Lawrence of Mountain View and Raydean Lewis of Fifty Six; three brothers, Jerald Burns of Jonesboro and Billy Burns and Carl Burns, both of Mountain View; three sisters, Alma Raymos of Hemit, Calif., Thelma Powell of Happy Hollow and Mertyl Everett of Mountain View; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Brown; a son, Jimmy Brown; a daughter, Pauline Devine; and six brothers.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Tabernacle in Mountain View with Ronny Smart officiating. Burial will be at Flatwoods Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View.
Pallbearers will be Jim Cooper, Daniel Stephens, Gary Green, Melvin Bishop, Earnest Stevens, Joshua Lawrence, Buddy Lawrence and Steve Scott.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel.
