FAYETTEVILLE — Professor John F. Andrews, 80, of Fayetteville died April 10, 2011, at the Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born July 10, 1930, in Cave City to the late Frank and Ruth Andrews.
He received his Ph.D. in environmental engineering from the University of California Berkeley. He taught at the University of Arkansas, Clemson University, University of Houston and was a retired professor emeritus from Rice University. A pioneer in waste management treatments, he was a guest lecturer in Japan, China, England and Canada. He was very proud of the numerous graduate students he mentored.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margery Ann Andrews; and his brother, Charles.
He is survived by his children, Patrick Andrews of Springdale, Carol Egolf of Fayetteville and Laura Andrews of Splendora, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Holly and Johnathan.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 15, 2011, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Moore's Chapel with interment to follow at Son's Chapel Cemetery.

FAYETTEVILLE — Margery Ann Andrews, 77, of Fayetteville died Sept. 19, 2007, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Poteau, Okla., to Jim and Ann Stevenson Hall.
She was a homemaker and a Christian.
Survivors include her husband, John F. Andrews; two daughters, Laura Andrews Wood of Splendora, Texas, Carol Egolf of Fayetteville; one son, J. Patrick Andrews of Springdale; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Holly and Johnathon; one sister, Susie Clark of Stigler, Okla.; one brother, Jim Hall Jr. of Tulsa, Okla.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, www.mooresfuneralchapel.com.
Burial will be in Son's Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
