Lloyd Lewis Elliott, age 92, of Searcy, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010. Lloyd was born on Dec. 11, 1917 to Elizabeth and George M. Elliott of Miller, Ark., (now Greers Ferry). Lloyd was an avid gardener, having a sizable garden well into his 80's. He worked tirelessly in his garden year after year, and enjoyed providing vegetables to his friends, family and neighbors. He was also a member of Valley Baptist Church and was very active with the church, having last served as a deacon. Lloyd was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jewell, and four sisters: Ethel, Atlas, Ruth and Lallie, his twin. He is survived by two children: Gary Elliott (Tracy), and Wanda Summers (Jim), both of Searcy. Three grandchildren: Steve Parish (Sherri) of Cabot, Bruce Parish of Searcy, and Stephen Elliott of Little Rock. Three great-grandchildren: Zachary Parish, Andrew Parish and Ross Parish. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy. Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. at Powell Funeral Home with internment immediately following at Cross Roads Cemetery in Greers Ferry, Ark.
