Anita Faye White, 66, of Clearwater, Florida, died Thursday, February 14, 2013. A native of England, Ark., and raised in the Portland-Snyder area, she was a resident of Clearwater for the past 12 years and was a former resident of Monroe, Louisiana. She graduated from Portland High School in 1964 and was a veteran of the United States Navy. She worked for Scott Equipment in Monroe and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Snyder.
She is survived by six brothers, Carl White of Hot Springs, Doyle White of Crossett, James White of Lake Village, Sammy White of Pensacola, and Phillip White and Don White of Hamburg; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, E. J. and Anna Yandell White; and a brother, Silas White.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, February 22, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Bates officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date in the Snyder Cemetery.
