The Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, Arkansas, July 18, 2012:
A Funeral Service for Jerry L Coplen of Cotter, Arkansas, will be Friday, July 20, 2012, 11:00 AM, at Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Heath Hogan officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 until service time.
Jerry passed away July 16, 2012, in Cotter, Arkansas at the age of 65. He was born September 18, 1946, in Gassville, Arkansas the son of and William E. and Margaret Flippin Coplen. Jerry was a lifetime resident of the Cotter area. He was a retired Sandblaster for Epoxyn Industries and loved baseball, football, fishing on the White River and was a part time guide on the river.
Jerry is survived by his 3 daughters; Jackie Rhoads of Gassville, Melissa Coplen and Kristy Roemmich of Mountain Home; 3 Sisters; Debbie (Kenny) Bridgman of Gassville, Annette Dennis of Gassville and Kathy (Norman) Enquist of Flippin; 9 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren; and his loving dog Buddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Russell.
Burial will be in the Gassville Cemetery with R. L. Flippin, H. W. Flippin, G. E. Flippin, Kenny Bridgman, Samuel Olson and Trevor Rhoads as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
