Mrs. Mary E. Helterbran, mother of F.M. and W.B. Helterbran of Avoca, died at an early hour last Friday morning at the home of the former. Funeral services were held Saturday evening at Buttram’s Chapel and were conducted by Rev. Wilson of Pea Ridge. Mrs. Helterbran had been ill for three months, the result of a severe stroke of paralysis. She was 68 years of age and had been a resident of Avoca for over seventeen years. Her death is a great loss to the family for she was an excellent Christian mother, a kind neighbor and a loving friend. The Democrat extends sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
