Obituary - Mr. Noel H. Tumlison, 86, of Hamburg died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at the Ashley County Medical Center. A native and life-long resident of Ashley County, he was a member of the Church of Christ and owned and operated the Post Oak Service Station in Snyder for 33 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Florene Murphy Tumlison, two sisters and five brothers. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mary Lou Austin Tumlison of Hamburg; four sons, Harry Joe and wife Bonnie Tumlison of Crossett, Bill and wife Ressie Tumlison of Kingwood, TX, Jerry and wife Tammy Tumlison of Van Buren, and Buck and wife Kathy Tumlison of Petal, MS; four daughters, Mary Ann Morman and husband John of Hamburg, Linda Gilliam and husband Allen of Portland, Nancy Cowan and husband Lance of Nashville, TN, and Pam Roberson and husband Doyle of Bastrop, LA; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 20, in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home in Hamburg with Rev. Joe Sponaugle officiating. Pallbearers were James, Richard, Don, Bobby Joe and Carl Gwin, Matt Gilliam, Joey and Randy Tumlinson, Gene Thompson, David Smith and Keith Ladd. Burial followed services at the Snyder Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hamburg Church of Christ, 1109 North Main, Hamburg, AR 71646 or to the Snyder Cemetery Association, c/o Mrs. Jane Graves, 244 Ashley Road 70, Hamburg, AR 71646.
