Mrs. Marilyn Jane “Janie” Trantham, 57 of Boydell, AR, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was a lifelong resident of Ashley County, a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Trantham, her parents, Omar Hallman and Agnes Cotton Sheffield and two brothers, Edward & Lewis Hallman. Janie loved talking to friends on the computer and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three brothers: James Hallman of Monticello, AR, David Hallman of Greenville, MS, John Sheffield of Conway, AR, two step-brothers, Danny & Deveron Sheffield of Hot Springs, AR, two sisters, Peggy Hallman of Monticello, AR, Sarah Sheffield of Dermott, AR, a special niece, Rebecca Hallman of Boydell, AR, and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services are Monday, March 25, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Bryant, officiating. Burial in Snyder Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR. Memorials may be made to The Arkansas Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn: Elizabeth Clark, Financial & Missions Director, 904 Autumn Rd, Ste. 500, Little Rock, AR 72211 or The American Cancer Society, 901 South University, Little Rock, AR 72207.
Visitation Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home.
