(from Central) A telegram came yesterday stating that Uncle Ben Mahuren was run over by an auto at Joplin, Mo. and killed. He was one of the oldest settlers of this community having lived to the ripe old age of 88 years if the writer is not mistaken. He was a preacher in the Primitive Baptist church and a good old man, respected by all who knew him.
