Willie Vaughn Passes Away
Willie Vaughn, age 73, life time resident of Izard County passed away October 9, 1957 at the Batesville Clinic following several weeks illness. He was the son of the late Joe and Cyntha Ann (O'Neal) Vaughn. He was born October 12, 1873. He is survived by his wife, a step-daughter, Mrs Floyd Taylor of Edgemont, Ark.; two brothers, Oscar and Johnie Vaughn of Melbourne; two sisters, Mrs Minnie Taylor of Edgemont, Ark., and Gracie Vaughn of Melbourne and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held October 11 at 2 p.m. at Combs Cemetery. Rev. Herman Lewis of Batesville officiated at the service. Burial was made in the Combs Cemetery under direction of the Hall Funeral Home.
