Joy Darline Tyree
Mrs. Joy Darline Tyree, age 81 of Mountain Home passed away Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Good Samaritan Village. Joy Tyree was born January 13, 1927 in Brandsville, MO to George and Dovie (Garner) Bartley. She married O.G. Tyree on May 18, 1947 in Mammoth Spring. Mrs. Tyree worked for the Victor Valley Public Schools in Victorville, CA for nearly 30 years as a junior high school secretary. She was a member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ for 19 years.
Mrs. Joy J. Tyree is survived by: 1 son, Dan (April) Tyree of Elizabeth, 3 grandchildren: Meredith, and Marshall Tyree and Allison Bryant (Jason); 1 sister: Ruby Prantl (Lynn) of West Plains, MO and sister-in-law Kathleen Bartley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 1 brother, Imon Bartley.
Visitation for Mrs. Tyree will be Noon - 9 PM Saturday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday at the Mountain Home Church of Christ at College and North Streets with Brother Ken Burton officiating. Burial will be in Elizabeth Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paragould Children’s Home or Good Samaritan Village.
