Julian Lesley Henson, age 80, passed away Sunday June 27, 2010, in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born June 2, 1930, in Trenton, Arkansas to Leonard and Lottie Henson. He was a Veteran of the Navy, and Director of Operations with E- Systems for NASA of Edwards Air Force Base in California. He was also a member of the Post Oak Baptist Church in Greers Ferry.

He is survived by his wife, Jewell Henson of the home in Greers Ferrry, Arkansas; two sons, Scott Henson of Greers Ferry and Rick Henson of Higden, Arkansas; two daughters, Seretha Hopper of Prescott, Arizona and Sharon Hightower of Greers Ferry, Arkansas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Janie Smith of Greers Ferry and Ruth Elder of Buellton, California and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brother; two sisters and one granddaughter.

A visitation will be held Tuesday June 29, 2010 at the Heber Springs Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral service will be held Wednesday June 30, 2010 at the Post Oak Baptist Church in Greers Ferry, Arkansas at 2:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Greers Ferry EMS in memory of Julian Henson.
