Mr. Orion Ray Koettel, 51, of Tuckerman died Monday, March 15, 2010 at Little Rock.
He was born February 28, 1959 at Newport, the son of Orion Ralph and Lola Mamie (Drummond) Koettel.
Mr. Koettel was a purchasing agent at Arkansas Steel for several years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends at the lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Herschel "Tinker" Reynolds, Bobby Reynolds, and Jimmy Reynolds.
Mr. Koettel is survived by his fiancé, Darline Gipson and her two children, Courtney Stites-Hauck and husband Chris of Little Rock and Christy Boyd and husband Bill of Tuckerman; two step-children, Nia Tooley Pennington and husband Josh of Midway, and Adam Tooley of Weldon; two sisters, Linda Reeves of Tuckerman and Betty Harkey of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Jordan Stites, Jakie Stites, Dawson Gipson, and Carley Boyd; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Shiloh Cemetery at Higden.
Honorary pallbearers were the Arkansas Steel Employees and Newport High School Class of 1977.
