Thomas Edward "Eddy" Hunt, age 47, of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Born in Heber Springs on August 23, 1960, he was the son of Lois Hooten Hunt and the late Ben Hunt.

A resident of Cleburne County for most of his life, Eddy was a restaurant owner and an avid Razorback fan. He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Andrew Chase Hunt.

Eddy is survived by three sons, Brent Hunt and Benji Hunt, both of Greers Ferry, and Chastin Hunt of Fayetteville; his mother, Lois Hunt of Greers Ferry; two brothers, Ben Hunt, Jr. of Fayetteville and Ernie Hunt and wife, Sherry, of Greers Ferry; two sisters, Linda Hunt Bittle and husband, Johnny, of Greers Ferry and Brenda Hunt Bates and husband, Gerald, of Higden; and his special caregiver, Tammy Marple of Fayetteville. Eddie is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 4, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Cross Roads Church with Bro. Darvin Carlton officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cross Roads Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Hunt, Daniel Hunt, Matthew Hunt, Alex Hunt, Paul Hunt, Tom Hearst, Johnny Bittle, and Gerald Bates. Honorary pallbearer is Feldus-Gene Elam. Memorials may be made to the Greers Ferry Ambulance Fund.
