Forrest R. "Frosty" Knapp, of Wild Cherry, Ark.,son of the late Wiley C. Knapp and Libbie Forrister Knapp, was born Janurary 21, 1924 in Wild Cherry, Ark. He died Aug 14, 2012 at Community Medical Center of Izard County in Calico Rock, Ark., at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 7 days.
He was united in marriage to Faye Smith on December 20, 1949 in Gassville, Ark., and to this union two sons were born. He was a cattle farmer and was a member of the Mitchell Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife of the family home; two sons, Roy Knapp of Houston, Texas, and Bruce Knapp of Wild Cherry, Ark. He was preceded in death by a brother who died in infancy, and his father and mother.
Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at the Mitchell Assembly of God Church. Burial followed in Mitchell Cemetery, under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem. Pallbearers wre Roy Knapp, Bruce Knapp, Martin Estes, Guy Smith, Alex Smith and Garrett Smith.
