Lena Smith Morgan went to be with her Lord on October 24, 2011, at Baptist Health in Heber Springs at the age of 101. She was born at Prim on January 14, 1910, to the late Vester and Edna Birdsong Smith.

She and John C. Morgan were married at Davis Special on January 23, 1932. They spent most of their 56 years together in Cleburne County. Mr. Morgan was a member of the Christian Church and a 50 year Eastern Star member.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Vernon Smith; sister, Marie Barnum; granddaughter, Kristen Morgan; and great granddaughter, Mandy Stafford.

She is survived by one son, Willie Morgan and his wife, Marsha, of Heber Springs; two daughters, Pat Caldwell and her husband, Hershel, of Heber Springs and Ola Stafford and her husband, Floyd, of Hensley; one brother, James Eason and his wife, Vena, of Searcy; eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 26, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 27, at 10:00 a.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Bro. Bennie Foster and Bro. Tim Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cross Roads Cemetery. Mrs. Morgan's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
