BONE, Maggie S. Weimer - With deep regret we chronicle the death of Mrs. Maggie S. Bone which occurred at her home in Avoca on Wednesday, November 29, 1922. Although Mrs. Bone had been somewhat ailing most of the summer her sudden collapse and death came as a great and unlooked for shock upon her family and the entire community. She was a victim of cancerous tumor and her case was helpless from the date of discovery. Mrs. Bone had lived in or near Avoca for many years. She was loved by all who knew her well and will be universally missed. She was a model wife and mother and had besides that name the gift of a mother’s heart for all human kind, no matter in what garb she met it. We laid her to rest at Buttram’s Chapel on Thanksgiving day, four years to the day from the death of Mr. Weimer, the father of her children. She was born at Brownsville, Minnesota on July 7, 1858. Was married to F.M. Weimer in 1880. To this union were born five children, one daughter and four sons. Saloma, the daughter, passed on some time ago. The sons, Frank, Arthur, Leo and Bennie, along with her present husband, R.C. Bone, who she married Nov. 6, 1920, are left to mourn her loss.
