CEDARVILLE — Elzie "Harold" Harris, 67, of Cedarville died Friday, June 16, 2000, in a local nursing home. He retired as a mechanic from Dixie Cup and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Cedarville Baptist Church and was a Mason for 25 years.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel of Van Buren with burial at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Harris; one daughter, Sandy Nixon Alls of Uniontown; three sons, Randy Nixon and Elzie "Scooter" Harris III of Cedarville and Phillip Harris of Merced, Calif.; one sister, Mary Wagner of Cedarville; three brothers, Gerald Harris of Van Buren, Richard Harris and Edsel Rogers, both of Cedarville; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home in Van Buren.
