WEST FORK — William Arthur Davis, 61, of West Fork died Jan 14, 2005, at his home. He was born June 28, 1943, in Fayetteville to Alvin Lester and Ada Alice Merle Hardin Davis.
Davis worked for McMurtrey-Cullers as a millwright for several years. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he was a member of Hell on Wheels, a tank unit in which he was the driver. He was a member of the NRA, a hunter and a motorcyclist.
Survivors include his mother, Ada Myrick of Springdale; one son, William Shawn Davis of Fayetteville; two daughters, Wendy Vann of Fayetteville and Cindy Kisic of Berryville; three brothers, Cleveland Davis, Tommy Davis and Harold Davis, all of West Fork; one sister, Ada Davis of Strickler; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Beard's Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Fayetteville.
