PEA RIDGE — Billy Joe Samuel, 67, of Pea Ridge died July 22, 2008, at his home. He was born Jan. 20, 1941, in Clarendon. He was adopted as an infant by James Cornelius and Mary Gladys Samuel.
He was a graduate of Tulsa Junior College and worked for Shell Oil Co. as a computer operations supervisor. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Samuel; three daughters, Tina Marie Samuel of Tulsa, Okla., Carla Jo Samuel of Terrell, Texas, and Stephanie Renee Knappenberger and husband Jeff of Centerton; a son, Lance Eugene Sprinkel and wife Carey of Bella Vista; two brothers, Gene Laxson of Rogers and W.F. "Dub" Deaton of Swansboro, N.C.; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with the Rev. Rick Booyer officiating. Burial will be in Buttram Chapel Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers.
