Cecil A. Sigmon, 76, of Springdale, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 9, 1917, at Hickory Creek, to Garland and Olive Ruth Hammond Sigmon. He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and a member of the First Baptist Church, Springdale.
Survivors are his wife, Viva Sigmon of the home; a daughter, Helen Elmer of Springdale; and two grandchildren.
Graveside service is set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hickory Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Eden officiating under direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel, Springdale.

SPRINGDALE — Viva Pearl Sigmon, 92, of Springdale, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Homestyle Assisted Living. She was born June 6, 1918, in Eureka Springs, to William and Blanch DeVeny Lewis.
Mrs. Sigmon worked for many years at Joyce's Drug Store on Emma Avenue.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Cecil Sigmon, in 1993; three brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by one daughter, Helen Elmer and husband, Bob, of Springdale; two grandchildren, Kelli Elmer of London, England, and Jeff Elmer of Springdale; three nieces; and two nephews.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 21, at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Eden officiating. Arrangements are with Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale.
