November 19, 1921 - April 26, 1974
George Robert Johnson, 52, of Rt. 4 Camden, died today in an El Dorado hospital. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Church of Christ and a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He is survived by his wife, Francis Cash Johnson; two sons, Robert and Shortly Johnson both of Locust Bayou; two daughters, Mrs. Marion D. Wilson of Locust Bayou and Mrs. Patricia Presley of Pinehurst, S.C., his mother, Mrs. Estell Johnson of Locust Bayou; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Center Street Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home.
