Mrs. Fannie Hawkins Cottrell, 70, of Hampton died in her home at Hampton Sunday. She is survived by five sons, Amon Cottrell of Murfreesboro, William and Leonard Cottrell of Mobile, Ala, Lloyd Cottrell, Brewton, Ala. and Ponder Cottrell of El Dorado; four daughters, Mrs. Audrey Priddy and Mrs. Barbara Willett of Camden, Mrs. Lorene Hudson, Anniston, Ala. and Mrs. Willett Madera, Hampton; two sisters, Mrs. Blewster Duffie, Camden, and Mrs. Foster Bailey, Haynesville, La.; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 Monday afternoon at the New Hope Church near Hampton with the Rev. G. A. Studds officiating. Burial was in the New Hope cemetery by the Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. (The El Dorado Times - October 19, 1964)
