Killed In Action in Germany
Pvt. Herschal P. Cobb, aged 33, body arrived in Camden this afternoon at 2:41 o'clock over the Cotton Belt Lines. It will be taken to the home at the "Y". The body will be brought back to Proctor Funeral home for service at the Proctor Funeral Chapel at 2 o'clock Tuesday. Bro. H. R. Nabors and Bro. Alfred Byars officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery near Hampton. He is survived by his wife, one brother, Ira Cobb, of Booneville. He was among the World War II war dead brought home last week. Active pallbearers: Lewis Garner, Carroll Dilworth, George Russell, Ernest Williams, Ben Gray Cobb and Conway Williams. Camden News - November 3, 1947)
