MOUNT PLEASANT — Vaughn D. Reeves, 81, of Mount Pleasant died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, in Batesville.
Born Jan. 19, 1927, in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of Archie William Reeves and Margie Walker Reeves. He was united in marriage to Maxine Twilley on Dec. 29, 1946, in Grand Falls, Texas. He was a farmer. He enjoyed the outdoors and playing the fiddle and played in numerous local bands. He attended Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.
Survivors include four daughters, Charlotte Campbell, Sandy Evans and Lisa Clinton, all of Mount Pleasant, and Marilyn Teague of Melbourne; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a brother, Leslie Colene Reeves; and a sister, Sue Coleman.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Reeves Cemetery. Arrangements are by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
