MOUNT PLEASANT — Martha M. Twilley Reeves, 77, of Mount Pleasant died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at her home.
Born Sept. 6, 1928, in Borger, Texas, she was the daughter of Elza and Edith Haley Twilley. She was united in marriage to Vaughn D. Reeves on Dec. 29, 1946. She was a homemaker, a quilt maker and owned and operated Martha's Quilt Shop. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Southern Baptist Church and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Charlotte Campbell, Sandi Evans and Lisa Clinton, all of Mount Pleasant, and Marilyn Teague of Melbourne; a brother, Charles Twilley of Climax Springs, Mo.; seven sisters, Louise Bidwell of Denton, Texas, Ruby Craig of Magness, Betty Jo Click of Trenton, Mich., Peggy Shipley of Kansas City, Mo., Dee Webb and Ann Ball, both of Mount Pleasant, and Doris O'Neal of Bradenton, Fla.; three grandchildren, Sheila Antici, Lacey Thornton and Kristin Teague; two step-grandchildren, Michelle Allen and Billy Finnie; two great-grandchildren, Abby Antici and Jacob Antici; and two step-grandchildren, Olivia Allen and Trevor Finnie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Marion "Bo" Twilley; and three sisters, Juanita Bullock, Pearlie Twilley and Modema Twilley.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Elvis Sneathern and Bruce Qualls officiating. Burial will be in Reeves Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Tom Teague, Gary Campbell, Tip Evans, David Clinton, Charles Twilley and Vaughn Reeves.
Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Antici, Justin Thornton, Tim Reeves, Robert Reeves and Mark Herrington.
There will be no visitation.
