Claire Leone Blount Ramsey, 92, of Batesville died today, Jan. 7, 2011.
Born Sept. 19, 1918, in Calhoun County, Miss., she was the daughter of Clyde and Velma Thomas Blount.
She worked at ConAgra and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Batesville. She enjoyed traveling, her church and working.
Survivors include three sisters, Baye Copeland of Flint, Mich., Pauline Ridge of Henderson, Nev., and Naomi Jones of Melbourne; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, R.T. Blount, Darrell Blount and Voyne Blount; and four sisters, Lillian Seay, Faye O'Guinn, Clyce Johnson and Connie Young.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Reeves Cemetery at Melbourne with Joe Jackson officiating. Arrangements are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
