Mary Katherine Vann, age 86, of Conway, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2007 after a long illness that she braved with her witty sense of humor.

Born April 27, 1920, in Evening Shade, AR, a daughter of the late Ben and Nora (Blankenship) Treatenburg, she was a homemaker and member of the TEL & Joy Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Conway. She was also a member of AARP and NARFE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn Vann, a son, David Paul Vann, a granddaughter, Hayden Ashley Vann, a sister, Roxie Treatenburg, and three brothers, James, Joe Ed, and Leroy Treatenburg.

Survivors include a son, Jamie Vann of Kennesaw, GA; a daughter, Glenda Baker of Conway; six grandchildren, Jennifer Harper and husband Clint of Wooster, Katy Baker of Little Rock, David Vann of Conway, Brian Vann of San Francisco, CA, Adam Vann and wife Brenda of Heber Springs, and Whitney Vann of Atlanta, GA; and two great-granddaughters, Ashley Vann of Conway and Ashton Harper of Wooster.

The family would like to give a grateful thank you to a very helpful and caring neighbor, Mae Stephens.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Rev. Larry Pillow officiating. Interment will follow at Grissard Cemetery in El Paso.
