ROGERS — Effie Mae Blaylock, 88, of Rogers died Feb. 28, 2006. She was born April 25, 1917, in Brightwater to James and Ida Inez Mosley Varnell. She grew up in the Brightwater and Rogers area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elive Edward Blaylock, in 1980, and one son. She was a member of Brightwater Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Harry Edward Blaylock of Norman, Okla., James Otis Blaylock and wife Lee of Weston, Mo., and Jerry Lee Blaylock of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Peggy Blaylock of Rogers; two brothers, Eugene Varnell of Mena and Pierce Varnell of Avoca; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Buttram's Chapel Cemetery near Pea Ridge. The Rev. Bill Steele will officiate.
Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Rogers.
